Citiplace Child Care Centre
The City of Perth is committed to the delivery of high quality occasional and long day child care at the Citiplace Child Care Centre, a unique and purpose-built inner-city child care facility.
The building is owned and maintained by the City of Perth and has been in operation since July 1989. The staff caring for the children are all employees of the City of Perth.
Located in the central City Station Complex on the corner of Barrack and Wellington Streets, the Centre is in close proximity and easily accessible to the train, both Transperth and the CAT Bus services, and the Citiplace Carpark (entrance off Roe Street).
The central location provides a number of benefits. Family members working in the City are able to visit the Centre at anytime during the day and are welcome to join in the program, have lunch with the children or come on an outing.
The Centre operates two service types from one location.
| Citiplace Long Day Care | 7:30am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday |
| Citiplace Occasional Care | 8:15am to 5:15pm Monday to Friday |
| Office hours/Reception | 8:00am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday |
Philosophy
Citiplace Child Care Centre aims to provide quality care for children in a happy and secure environment. It is recognised that each child has individual needs and every endeavour is made to accommodate those needs. The program takes into account the different developmental levels of the children and an environment is created to allow each child to explore in their own time.
Caregivers and families will work together as the underlying recognition is that the service is a support to families.
