Parliament Place Enhancement
The City has completed works at Parliament Place (at the west end of the city). The works undertaken have resulted in a major facelift of the street, giving it more distinction and formality. In particular, the enhancement has:
- Created a ceremonial approach, and a more dignified and formal setting for Parliament House
- Enhanced the aesthetics and ambience of the area.
Local granite and grass trees feature strongly in the design, giving the new streetscape a distinctly Western Australian quality.
