Private Building Certification

The commencement of the Building Act 2011 on 2 April 2012 introduces a new building approval process for Western Australia bringing some significant changes to the building approval process, from the design stage right through to occupation of a building.

The commencement of the Building Act 2011 will also introduce a new private design certification services provided by registered building surveyors.

The City of Perth will be providing a Building Certification Service as part of its Approval Service function.
